A nationally-recognized vegan restaurant is being forced to move out of its current spot in Cooper-Young.
Imagine Vegan Cafe said in a Facebook status Friday that its landlord decided not to renew the lease.
"We ask that everyone please bear with us as things might be a little scattered over the next month or so," the post said.
Their last day in their current spot is March 31. The restaurant wants to stay in the Midtown area, but is thinking about relocating to the developing Crosstown area.
The restaurant owners said Overton Square and spaces in East Memphis were out of budget.
The restaurant is open to any ideas from the public, you can post them on their Facebook page here.
Last fall, Imagine Vegan Cafe was named a winner in the seventh annual Libby Awards from peta2, PETA's youth division.
