Photo Gallery | Bake sale to help tattoo artist suffering motorcycle injuries
A local bakery is selling everything from cookies to cupcakes Sunday to support a Memphis tattoo artist who was recently in a devastating motorcycle accident.
Joe Stamp is the father of one- year-old twin girls. In the tattoo industry he is known for his diverse designs.
No Regrets Tattoo Emporium owner Michael Crites told Action News 5's Anna Marie Hartman that Stamp was on Southern Avenue at dusk last week when he collided with a driver who didn't see him. There are multiple fractures to his spine, and he may lose part of his leg. (See Anna Marie Hartman's full report with video here.)
In addition to his injuries Stamp is facing another battle. He has no health insurance and will likely be off the job for months.
The Ladybugg Bakery will be selling their baked goods at No Regrets until they run out. No Regrets is located at 1928 Madison Avenue in Midtown. They are open until 10 p.m. All of the bake sale’s proceeds are going to Stamp and his family.
Other community plans are in the works to help Stamp. The next benefit is scheduled for Saint Patrick's Day at the P and H Café on Madison.
