A documentary about a Memphis-based band is coming to the big screen.

Ardent Records confirms Magnolia Pictures has acquired the rights to "Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me."

The film tells the story of the Mid-South group that influenced rock bands including REM and The Replacements.

It includes never before seen footage and is slated for a summer release.
