For twelve hours, Saturday Nov. 10, Cleveland Street will be transformed for a neighborhood block party, to showcase how the community can thrive under new redevelopment efforts.

If you have lived in Memphis for any significant amount of time you are most likely familar with the Sears Crosstown building looming over Cleveland street.

Recently the building was home to a lighted art installation and is a constant fascination to people driving by with it's giant facade, blown out windows, and overall creepy vibe.

But this weekend local businesses, residents, and community stakeholders are hosting a street festival to "re think" the neighborhood surrounding the huge building called "MEMFIX: Cleveland Street".

Find out more about who has been working on the MEMFix, Cleveland Street in this article.

Event details:

  • Two Crosstown blocks, Overton Park Avenue to Galloway
  • 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Nov. 10
  • Free Admission
  • Check out the MEMfix facebook page here.
