Patrick Dodd, a recent contestant on NBC’s The Voice, played a show at Minglewood Hall in Midtown Memphis on August 31. He was joined by fellow Voice contestant, Brandon Roush.
Dodd was born and raised in Memphis. He spent time in the late 1990s playing on Beale Street but then stepped away from music to focus on his family.
He came back to Beale Street and the crowds still loved him. Dodd became a contestant on The Voice, which led to his debut album, “Future Blues” peaking at number three on iTunes and staying in the Top 40 for over a month.
He is currently on tour and made a stop in his hometown to play for family, friends, and new fans. Dodd played in the 1884 Lounge in Minglewood Plaza. Brandon Roush, from Louisville, Kentucky, opened the show.
Those who attended the concert were treated to a performance from Dodd and Roush. The two became close friends during their time on NBC’s The Voice.
There were also some surprise guests that fans of The Voice would recognize. Fellow Memphian Kris Thomas, Amber Carrington, and Caroline Glaser all attended the show in support of Dodd and Roush.
