Walking for St. Jude

Meet Mario Landeros. He stopped in the Action News 5 studios when he was in Memphis to talk about raising money for St. Jude research.

This is the cart Mario is using as he walks across the country.

is half-way there. He started in California last May.

Landeros arrived in Memphis last week

having walked more than 2,000 miles.

He began walking across the United States to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

He's covered a lot of ground already, and still a ways to go.

It's called operation cheer.

He is walking across the country to benefit Saint Jude.

He started in California and last week he was in Memphis.

He set to finish his trip by going toward the East Coast.
