Many locals have heard rumors of Dō Sushi in Cooper-Young closing this weekend.
Today the restaurateur, Karen Carrier, posted a statement about it on the Dō’s Facebook page.
“Shhhhh.... letting a little secret out of the bag.....after 9 fantastic years Dō Sushi is saying farewell, so long, good will, good day, good eatin' and good times had by us all..... and all of us at Dō want to thank you our customers for your love and support- but, well, as the story goes, every 6 to 7 years - Ms. Thang - Little Twisty ( that's me) gets bored and the time has come for a change and as Sam Cooke said " A Change is Gonna Come"- I can promise you that.
Stay tune for the news- It will happen fast- right after the goblins go away for the year - we will pop up around
All Saints Day with a big party to share our new venture.
FYI -Be sure to come visit us and let us tell you WE LUV U during our last 4 nights , starting TONITE- as we are bidding farewell and closing the doors as of this Sunday night October 14th-...... BE THERE!!! thank you all - Big Hugs
Karen B. Carrier”
Fans of the Dō Sushi Facebook page expressed their disappointment but were also supportive. You can read what they said here.
