Pet of the Week: Meet Heckle and his 3 legged friend | Pets

Action News 5 proudly works with the Humane Society of Memphis on“Pet of the Week” every Friday.

In this segment on our noon show we try to find some great homes for some great pets

This week we are featuring a cat and kitten who became family after an unfortunate accident.

The Humane Society found the kitten trapped in a fence. In order to have a successful rescue his ears had to be trimmed and one of his legs had to be amputated.

Heckle is a 5-year-old cat who adopted the kitten. He cleans and protects the 3-month-old kitten according to Alexis Amarose from the Humane Society.
