T-shirts show city’s cycling pride

(WMC-TV) – The city’s only bike co-operative is selling some slick, new T-shirts.

Revolutions Community Bicycle Shop offers people the chance to learn to build and maintain their own bicycles at a very low cost.

Members of the co-op perform 10 hours of volunteer work at the shop and then pay a $40 fee for the ability to select frames and parts to build their new bicycles.

They also receive training from mechanics and help building their new bikes.

The shirts cost $20 are available at Revolutions, located inside First Congo at 1000 S. Cooper St.

Here are the shop’s hours:

  • Sunday: 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.
  • Monday: 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
  • Thursday: 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
