The world-renowned American Boychoir from Princeton, N.J. will perform, among other things, Schubert's Mass in G, American Hymns, and a South African Medley Friday March 9 at 7:30 p.m at Saint John’s Episcopal Church.
Acappella pieces, accompanied classical pieces, and world music with percussion will make for an extraordinary concert experience by these gifted students from all over the globe.The Memphis Boychoir and Memphis Girlchoir will join the American Boychoir for a 60 voice musical collaboration on Naplan's Al Shlosha D'varim.
The American Boychoir performs with world-class ensembles including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. The Boychoir appears regularly as featured artists with James Levine at the Tanglewood Music Festival, and has performed with soprano Jessye Norman, prominent jazz musician Wynton Marsalis, pop diva Beyoncé, and at Carnegie Hall with Sir Paul McCartney.
