Three men will walk across the state of Tennessee, documenting their experience in a film as they trek 1,200 miles through different towns to discover the people, culture, music, art, food, and the landscape.
Simply called the Tennessee Walking Men, the three individuals plan to travel on highways and backroads.
"Among us we've lived in most of the major cities in Tennessee, and we've driven the interstates between them countless times. There's a lot of Tennessee we haven't seen. We're setting out on foot to see it differently," said Nashville videographer and photographer Tim Duggan in the video explaining the mission.
Michael Meredith of Chattanooga and Matt Cottam of Memphis join Duggan to find out what it means to be a Tennessean. The group encourages social media users and YouTube subscribers to follow their journey, which starts August 23 in Memphis, as they will post updates to different platforms.
