MIFA to Participate in National March for Meals Campaign

MIFA to Participate in National March for Meals Campaign

During the month of March, MIFA is participating in March for Meals, a national campaign initiated by the Meals on Wheels Association of America to raise awareness of senior hunger.

MIFA’s Meals on Wheels program, established in 1976, serves 1,800 local seniors five days a week by delivering hot nutritious meals to homebound elderly and to congregate sites.  The program’s clients are nutritionally at-risk seniors (over age 60) due to illness or disability.

MIFA’s Meals on Wheels is accredited through the Meals on Wheels Association of America’s Magnet Accreditation Program, a prestigious group of senior nutrition programs across the country dedicated to providing quality nutrition services at the highest level of organizational accountability.
