Memphis Zoo adds giant Ferris Wheel to Zoo Lights | Community Spirit

We have a high-five for the Memphis Zoo as they are taking thier annual Zoo Lights to new heights.

One of the exciting additions this year is the 90-foot LED ferris wheel of lights.

According to Memphis Zoo Communications specialist Laura Doty, the Ferris Wheel in the picture above is from a different site. 

The wheel has been around the US and Canada.

Also new this year the opening weekend will feature Feature Weekend with the Avengers at the Memphis Zoo.

Captain America, Ironman, Thor, the Hulk and their nemesis, the Green Goblin, will appear at the Zoo. The Avengers will help WMC-TV's own Ron Childers light the Great Tree on the Zoo's front plaza.
