Noticeable improvements made in Overton Park less than a year after management change | Community Spirit

The nonprofit Overton Park Conservancy began managing the park less than a year ago.

Some of the changes since then include an old-growth forest that's not overrun with invasive plants, a smoother running trail and a new dog park.

According to the Commercial Appeal, the Conservancy has already spent $300,000 on upgrades and is planning to spend another$400,000 dollars to expand and renovate the playground.

More improvements are planned next year.
