New brewery planned to open in Broad Avenue Arts District | Business

The Memphis beer brewery scene is about to get frothier as brothers Davin and Kellan Bartosch plan to open WISEACRE Brewing Co. in the Broad Avenue Arts District.

A signed lease for 13,000 square feet will allow for regular, seasonal, and limited edition beers to be produced.

Wiseacre will feature a tap room for sampling as well as purchase orders to go.

"Mineral content in water is vital to beer," said  brewer Davin Bartosch. "Memphis’ artesian wells are a brewmaster’s dream. This is the perfect city to make ridiculously great beer and that’s what we’re going to do.”

Look for this new brewery towards the end of the year 2013.

WISEACRE will be located at the Bell Midtown Park at Cumberland and Broad.
