Rock Music Historian Barry Drake will present “70s Rock –The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” in the McCallum Ballroom at Rhodes College September 24.

Free and open to the public, the multimedia lecture begins at 7 p.m. and features hundreds of visuals and video clips for a “behind the music” look at the 1970s.

A graduate of Manhattan College in New York, Drake has been involved in the world of music since buying his first Rock and Roll record at 10 years old. In 1965, he became a performer and songwriter working with legends such as Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Jimi Hendrix, and James Taylor.

Drake began presenting Rock & Roll lectures in the 1980s, and he continues those lectures today.
