Action News 5 Book Club kicks off | Arts & Culture
Many of us at Action News 5 love to read and share books with others. So it seems only natural that we start a book club to suggest books to the entire Memphis community.
We are very excited to announce that starting this Wednesday on Action News 5 at 4 p.m. we are launching the Action News 5 Book Club.
The first book selection is a book for kids call "Llama, Llama and the Bully Goat" by Anna Dewdney. She wrote a very popular book for children you may have read in your house called "Llama, Llama Red Pajama".
"Llama, Llama and the Bully Goat" focuses on a young llama trying to deal with a bully at school, a problem many kids face these days. This book shows children how to deal with bullies but in a way kids will appreciate.
Anna Dewdney will join us on Wednesday live in the studio for Action News 5 at 4 p.m. to kick off the book club and will then be signing copies of her book at Laurelwood Booksellers.
The signing will start at 6 p.m. You will also have a chance to win a copy of Anna's book by watching Action News 5 at 4 p.m. Tune in for the details Wednesday.
We hope you will pick up the book and tell us what you think. You can email the book club at firstname.lastname@example.org or join the conversation on Facebook and Twitter.
We look forward to reading with you.
