Solid waste collection schedule for 4th of July holiday | News

The City of Memphis government will observe the Independence Day holiday on Monday, July 5.  Residents of Memphis serviced by the city whose regular collection day is Monday will receive garbage and recycling collection on Tuesday, July 6.

There will be little or no collection of yard debris and excess trash outside carts on Tuesday as crews concentrate on servicing Monday and Tuesday garbage carts only.  Residents are reminded that collection of debris and excess trash may be limited all week.

Homes serviced by city contractor All Star Waste Systems will receive regular collection on Monday.  However, Monday residents should be aware there will be no collection of yard debris and excess trash this week only.  Normal collection will resume the following week.

Residents of mobile home communities serviced by city contractor, Waste Connections, will not be affected.
